JANUARY NEWSLETTER
Hi Members
At last against all the odds the A.G.M. is at last done and dusted with all issues sorted, I am not going to write about them but I have attached a copy of the minutes which explains all. Since the A.G.M. we have had a couple of good rides but unfortunately on the first ride with Lagunas we lost a couple of riders on route, one of which was John on his Bonnie who got detached from the group and got lost. This happened because I think all of the group was not familiar with the second man drop off system, our group has never had this problem when we ride as our club on our own and I really do not know how we can solve this problem so any ideas are welcome. SORRY JOHN. We have a couple of new members so please everyone make them welcome to our club and help them settle in. Skegness M.C.N. weekend April 18th Del has 7 definite places he could do with one more person to fill 2 rooms or 5 more to fill another chalet, there are 4 persons per chalet, so anyone wanting to come on this awesome weekend Del must know at the Feb club meet. The Loft Belgium June? Matt is having a problem with booking this event we will discuss this at the meet. Shop Open Day March 29th 30th We have been asked to assist with the running of this two day event, we will discuss this at the next club meet. This is the first time we have been asked so as many members as possible please. Club Shirts I am having a couple of sweatshirts made and they should be done for the next meet for your approval, the prices are very good and will only be made to order only, I will bring along a catalogue with prices of various items of clothing. There is no set up fee for our logo. Club Diary We are still looking for more ideas for rideouts or long weekends, check the website to see what dates are available and contact any committee member with your idea. Club Membership This is now due so could you please renew at the next meet or contact Simon thank you. That's all for now catch you all at the next meet which is Wed Feb 13th at the George Shalmsford St Chartham. Regards Dave

Meeting Minutes for AGM
Date of Meeting 9th January 2008
1 Brief Outline
Dave Brazier Started the meeting by welcoming everyone. He said he felt the last year had been very good as the first year of the club and that we had been very active with all the events/ride outs which we had attended.
2 Finances
Adrian Daniels announced that was currently £410.00 in club funds and if anyone wanted a copy of the accounts just to ask. The funds have been raised throughout the year by Subs, fundraising and donations.
3 Current Committee Stood Down
The current committee members stood down to enable others to stand if required.
Current Committee members were
Chairman Dave Brazier, Vice Chairman Darren Gates, Treasurer Adrian Daniels, Website Admin Matt Wright, Membership Secretary Peter Emery, Event/Rideout Admin Simon Sutherland, Fund Raising Georgina Emery,
4 Stewart asked for nominations for new Committee members
Stewart requested that anyone who would like to be on the committee to stand forward for votes. No one came forward so he asked if all the previous committee members were happy with continuing with their roles. Peter and Georgina Emery where not present but all the rest said they were happy to continue in their roles, with the exception of Simon Sutherland who said he was happy to become the membership secretary. Stewart asked if there were any objections to any of these - no objections were heard.
It was concluded that this year there would only be 5 committee members as follows:
Chairman Dave Brazier, Vice Chairman Darren Gates, Treasurer Adrian Daniels, Website Admin Matt Wright, Membership Secretary Simon Sutherland,
5 Membership Renewal
It was agreed to keep the yearly membership at £10.00
6 Newsletter
This is now going to be a quarterly publication and will be put as a download on the website. A hard copy in the post can be sent for those who wish to receive one.
7 The Way Forward
New members are needed, Michelle has made a leaflet and voucher to give to customers who purchase a bike from Robinsons. This will entitle them to a year's membership. The club just need to send back the voucher and Robinsons will give them the £10 membership fee, this will hopefully encourage a few new members.
Events need to be supported.
Communication - Matt asked that if you know you definitely can't make an event please let the club know so at least they will get an idea of numbers.
